Are you concerned that you are not doing your best to keep your teeth and gums in the best form possible? It may be time to reform some of the foundations of oral hygiene.

Appropriate toothbrush

The first step to ensure oral health is a proper brush. The basis of tooth brush recommended by the American Dental Association (American Dental Association) is as follows.

Brush your teeth twice a day (at least) - Obviously we need to brush our teeth in the morning. Most of us recommend taking with a brush before going to bed, but we do not necessarily comply. Sometimes you are distracted, or you just forget to tire. But it is important that you go into routine doing it before you go to bed. And it does not hurt to do it over at noon.

Do not rush your brushing - We live in a rapidly changing world. I'd like you to have enough time to polish thoroughly. It usually means about 2 minutes ... but there is a risk of damaging the gum, so please do not make it longer.

Use appropriate technology - Please apply your gums to your gums at an angle of about 45 degrees. The brush should touch both your teeth and gums. This will help you get rid of food from under your gum. Please use short circular motion.

Please use the one on the right - The American Dental Association recommends that everyone use toothpaste with fluoride and soft toothbrush. It can be made to be not heavy with electric or battery type toothbrush.

Keeping your toothbrush clean - After brushing, flush the toothbrush with water, dry it and keep it upright. Since hermetically sealed containers are capable of bacterial growth, please keep toothbrush open as much as possible.

Keep up with the change of toothbrush - Please change the toothbrush every 3 months. However, using a visual cue becomes more important. I will do it as soon as the fray starts fraying.

Flossing essential for oral health

Flossing is also important for your oral hygiene as much as brushing your teeth. Unfortunately, there are far fewer flosses than brushes. The toothbrush does not reach enough under the gum, leaving it to eat can cause gum disease. Important guidelines for proper flossing are as follows.

Do not shorten your floss - If you break the floss briefly, you will not be able to get the proper control and it will frustrate you. Measure about 18 inches of dental floss, wind most of the circumference around the middle finger of one hand and wind the rest around. Your teeth should have about 1 inch floss.

Take one tooth at a time - Please rub the floss on all sides of your teeth. It is attractive to hit several teeth by penetrating teeth, please do not pull out teeth.
