Restoration of damaged Indian wooden furniture -2

Indian wooden furniture, like other furniture, is the last damage. Generally, wooden furniture is often plagued by indentations, cracks, mild cracks, broken or missing parts. In many cases, porous wood such as maple may crack and dry. However, maple is not used much for the production of furniture in India. In climate tropical, high humidity southern India, wooden furniture easily warps. Also, cosmetic defects may also damage Indian furniture. This includes stripping of the paint and melting of the varnish. It is not impossible to repair damaged Indian wooden furniture and restore it to good condition. Just a little caution is needed.

If the weather is nice, please bring the furniture to a dry outdoor section before the actual repair work. If furniture is too big to go out, please open all the windows to ensure ventilation. Place some older newspapers on the floor to protect against wood dust and chemical spills. Wear disposable rubber gloves and wear safety mask before starting work.

To begin repairing damaged Indian wooden furniture, use available chemicals to remove old varnish or paint. Take off a clean brush, soak it in peeling agent and spread it to Indian wooden furniture. Wait at least 7 minutes for the agent to oxidize. Next, start using scissors or scrap tools to scrape off the top layer of paint or varnish.

Now, please wear new gloves to protect your hands from debris. First, scrape the surface of Indian furniture with an electric sanding device to make it flat, then remove the grain. Using sandpaper delicately rub the remote part of the furniture by hand. After that, please remove all dust with a clean paintbrush.

Please use some wood glue to re-adhere the raised pieces of wood. Now, look at the furniture and carefully examine the joints. Reattach loose table or chair legs. As usual, first rub the surface with a sandwich inside the joint to remove the old residue of the adhesive. Next apply glue to the inner surface of the joint and reinstall the legs. Use a clamp to secure the part in place. Remove the clamp only after 6 to 8 hours when the adhesive dries.

Apply a wood sealant to the hairline cracks and splits. Dry the sealant. If both the adhesive and the sealant dry, rub the surface gently. After that, please wipe off the wood dust from Indian furniture.

Please do all of the above and defile the wooden furniture in India. In humid environments and in dry environments, you can use water-based stains for wooden furniture. If you want to paint furniture, you can also choose latex enamel paint. Several coats would be enough. Finally, we apply a waterproof and insect-proof glossy finish to the wood.
