For most people, adult diabetes mellitus is considered irreversible. If you get diabetes, it seems to be the only way to manage the condition to prevent you becoming a potential candidate for heart disease, for example to prevent you getting into a health complication.

However, some health experts and experts believe that a low glycemic load diet plus multivitamin, chromium, cinnamon and medium exercise typically can reverse this condition.

This strategy does not appear to be accepted by many qualified dieticians. They insist that there is no clear evidence to support the effects of vitamins and mineral supplementation even for people without nutritional deficiencies for the management of diabetes.

So, what should we ask?

Dr. Fedon Lindberg, a diabetes expert, also recommends the strategy described above. His extensive experience in type 2 diabetes patients is that balanced hypoglycemic diet and healthy lifestyle habits can reverse the disease.

Many patients who came to inject daily more than 200 units of insulin every day can stop medication for insulin and blood pressure and other conditions. These patients achieved complete non-diabetic long-term blood glucose (HBA 1c) and normotensive, cholesterol and lipid levels through diet and lifestyle improvements.

In his book 'The Greek Doctor' # Diet ', very clear instructions are given on how to accomplish this.

140 kg of diabetic patients taking blood metabolism with glucose 19.2, were asked by a doctor to take Dr Lindberg's recommended diet for 4 weeks. His blood glucose level fell to 5.8 - 6.0 and lost 12 kg.

There are research reports supporting blood glucose management for diabetes and cardiovascular protection, and support of the use of cinnamon and chromium for management of essential fatty acids.

For example, in studies conducted in China, administration of chromium up to 1000 meg per day was very effective in alleviating many of the symptoms of type 2 diabetes. Another study on the effect of cinnamon on diabetic patients reduced cinnamon 1, 3 or 6 g per day (up to 1 teaspoon daily) to 29% sugar content. Other signs such as triglycerides, LDL cholesterol and total cholesterol were also improved.

Nonetheless, things that work for others may not be suitable for you! Therefore, diabetic patients do not take risks of arbitrarily replacing medicines with supplements or herbs without consulting a doctor. Please do your research!

Remember, the preparation of some supplements, especially herbs, may interact with prescribed medications by doctors.
