How to repair a black mold on a wet wall -2

If you have a wet wall, you certainly will get mold. Wall boards, drywalls, plywood, paper, corrugated cardboard are the best places for mold growth. Because the material made from the construction of your wall is porous, it provides as a place to live the mold.

Stachybotrys chartarum is a slightly greenish black toxic black mold and is common on wet walls. Unlike a non-toxic shower mold, this mold often grows with building materials.

If you have a wet wall in your home, remove the material immediately and make sure the black mold does not return.

Remove poor walls

One huge mistake that people often do is trying to paint where the wall water is damaged. This will not do anything! In the face, the mold can really grow well with paint.

What you have to do is get rid of the wet part of the wall. Remove all wet walls as soon as possible before the mold grows. Please spray water from a spray bottle before you take it. Mold mold spores will not spread anywhere because every porous wall material must be wet when you delete it.

Wear protective clothing, confirm that there is enough circulation in that area, and safely discard the wall material of the mold. For safe removal, please put everything in the mold in a plastic bag. It is important to prevent mold spores from contaminating the rest of the house.

Look closely at the dry part and see if the mold is hidden behind it. You can check out by extracting a small part of the wall near the poor area. In areas where the walls are wet, there is a high possibility that molds will grow on adjacent dry walls as well.

After removing the wet wall, spray the bleaching solution on the wall. Please pay attention to bleach. Mixing with other cleaning products may cause toxic fumes. Please use only water for bleach solution. Weaken it. 1 part bleach for 1 part of water. Bleaching agents may irritate your nose, eyes and ears.

Please use a scrub brush on the wall and remove all the molds. If some of the Mook falls to the floor, please clean in vacuum.

If possible, please dispose of everything in contact with the mold. This includes not only drop clothes, but also the clothes you were wearing. If you do not want to remove your clothes, please wash well with hot water and bleach.

Protect the mold from your wall

Before installing a new one, please make sure the wall is completely discharged. You can run the dehumidifier in a place where your basement or damp wall will speed up the process. Please make sure it is completely dry before starting construction again.

When building again, there are several materials that will help you keep the mold away, depending on what you are planning to put there. To keep the wall dry, a specific backer board may be useful. If you want to use tiles, attach 1/2 inch concrete back plate. If you want to surround, you will get a green board lock. You can find concrete backer boards and green board rocks at local household goods and hardware shops.

The most important thing you can do to prevent the mold from growing again is to dry the room and keep the ventilation. Remember that the molds like wet and dark places, grow well with porous materials. After cleaning and inserting the new wall, please make sure that the mold does not come back from time to time.
