Formation of Ike in the Atlantic Ocean

Hurricane Ike started as a tropical wave from the coast of Africa around August 29, 2008. A few days later, on September 1, it developed to the ninth tropical cyclone of Hurricane, and then it was classified as a tropical cyclone Ike. Total rainfall above 10 inches was recorded in the Great Lakes of the South. Power outages were also common due to northward wind damage to the Ohio Valley. After the damage prediction is over, Ike is likely to become one of the most expensive hurricanes in the United States
