Stress ulcers are ulcers seen in the upper gastrointestinal tract. These are usually caused by physical injuries such as surgery and burns. These ulcers can become very serious. And it is important to understand what it is and how to treat it properly. Stress ulcers are very common diseases, people of all sorts are suffering someday.

What is stress ulcer?

If there is an imbalance between aggressive and defensive factors, the result is often a stress ulcer. Damage can actually come from various causes, but stress itself is almost always the main cause.

Symptoms of stress ulcer

Common symptoms associated with stress ulcers include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, weight loss, fatigue and the like. Since reducing mental and emotional stress can help heal the ulcers, try to reduce the cause of stress in your life. Provide antibiotics that can help the healing of the ulcer, please consult your doctor as you can reduce the chances of recurrence.

In some serious cases, surgery may be necessary to remove ulcers. The most common type of ulcer surgery is Vagotomy, where the vagus nerve carrying the message from the brain to the stomach is excised. Another option is gastrectomy, which is a form of surgery in which the lower part of the stomach produces hormones that stimulate the stomach to keep the digestive tract secret.

Important to remember should consult a doctor immediately if you are experiencing stomach pain, loss of desire, or other common symptoms that may indicate an ulcer. In most cases, no surgery is necessary, but rapid treatment can prevent the ulcer from getting worse, it may heal quickly and not come back.
